Odisha will consider the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) for MBBS & BDS Admissions instead of conducting a state level entrance test, as reported on Times of India. The decision has been taken by Odisha as the Honorable Supreme Court of India has struck down NEET UG for MBBS & BDS admissions.
Post the cancellation of NEET UG, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will conduct AIPMT on 04 May 2014. The syllabus for AIPMT 2014 is same as that of the NEET UG 2013, in Odisha instead of the 15% seats 85% of the seats will be filled on the basis of AIPMT. Medical students must make a note of it and shouldn’t take AIPMT easily, don’t hope for a separate state level medical entrance test in Odisha.
