The Aligarh Muslim University's Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) has signed a MoU with University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) in the US, varsity officials said Thursday.
The primary objective of this memorandum of understanding (MoU) is to create a means for cooperation between UMMS and JNMC for academic exchange of faculty, post-doctoral fellows, residents and students besides promoting sharing of clinical, academic and research information between the two institutions.
The MoU will also provide the foundation and framework for projects developed by clinical, academic and administrative units from these institutions, the officials said.
JNMC's principal Tariq Mansoor said both the institutions may send delegations to each other's campuses to learn about their educational system and curriculum.
He said both the institutions will encourage biomedical research collaboration and exchange programmes for post-doctoral training in biomedical research.
